What these notes are
Short, practical ideas on workflows, automation and AI, roughly once a week.
Welcome to Notes from Workflow Doctor.
Most of the work we do comes down to a handful of recurring patterns: a handoff nobody owns, the same details typed into two systems, an approval that waits in someone’s inbox, a tool the team pays for but doesn’t use. These notes are where we write those patterns down, along with what to do about them.
What to expect
- Short. Most notes take a few minutes to read.
- Practical. One idea you can try on a real process this week, not a trend report.
- Tool-agnostic. We’ll name tools when it helps, but the point is the process. Fix the process first, then automate it.
- Roughly weekly. When there’s something worth saying, and not otherwise.
What we’ll cover
- Spotting the steps that quietly cost your team the most time
- Simple automations between tools you already have
- Where AI genuinely helps with everyday work, and where it doesn’t
- Small habits, like clear owners, checklists and naming, that make a process hold up
If there’s a process you’d like us to write about, reply to any email or write to info@workflowdoc.com.
